Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

You may browse the Site without submitting any personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) to us. We collect Personal Information, such as your name and email address when you voluntarily provide it to us. Below are the most common ways in which you may provide your Personal Information:

  • If you submit your Personal Information to receive updates from us
  • If you make a donation to THP / WI
  • If you take an “Action” through the Site
  • In connection with any other inquiries to THP / WI or any other place on the Site where you knowingly volunteer Personal Information

Information Automatically Collected 

We may also collect information about users when you interact with the Site.  This includes the IP address of the device you use to access the Site, the browser type, the time, and date of visits to the Site, and the website that referred or linked you to the Site.  We may use this information to analyze how visitors use our Site so we can improve the quality of the Site.  

We or third-party service providers (each, a “Service Provider,” together, “Service Providers”) may collect some of this information through cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, clear gifs, or similar technologies.  These technologies are used for anonymous tracking across a web session on the Site or through emails we may send when you have provided us with your email address.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (“Third-Party Sites”). Third-Party Sites may collect information about you when you interact with them through links on our Site.  If you follow any link to a Third-Party Site, you should review those websites’ privacy policies to find out how they protect your privacy.  We are not responsible for Third-Party Sites or their privacy practices.

We may share information about you as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

  • With vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access such information to carry out work on our behalf;

Analytic Services

Information We Collect from Other Sources

We may also obtain information about you from other sources, such as Program Sites, and combine with that information we collect through the Site. THP / WI is based in the United States and the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. By accessing or using the Site, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the U.S. and other countries.

Donor Privacy

THP / WI values and respects the privacy of its donors.  As with all other Personal Information, we do not share, loan, trade, rent, or sell our donor information to any other organization, nor will we send mailings to our donors on behalf of any other organization or entity. 

We maintain historical records of donor giving histories for certain types of gifts. This information is gathered so we can properly acknowledge gifts for IRS purposes and is also used by THP / WI to analyze giving histories.

Any online donations to THP / WI are processed by our Service Provider through a Third-Party Site, and subject to the Third-Party Site’s privacy practices and terms of use. 

Similarly, Donor information may be made available to our other Service Providers, but only as necessary for THP / WI to provide its services. 

This section applies to donations and donor information received online or offline.  

Social Media

The Site links to Third-Party Sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok, Twitter, and YouTube.  When you follow, like, comment, or otherwise engage with us through these Third-Party Sites, we may see and collect the Personal Information that the Third-Party Sites generally makes available about its users. Social media features may be hosted and controlled by Third-Party Websites and your interactions with these features are governed by those respective companies’ privacy practices. Please review the privacy policies of these Third-Party Sites for more information on it collects, uses, and shares any Personal Information, including any Personal Information that may be provided to us.

Record Retention

We will keep your Personal Information for as long as we need it, or as otherwise prescribed by law, for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.


We use reasonable efforts to safeguard your Personal Information.  All traffic to the Site is encrypted with an SSL Certificate, including transmission of Personal Information to the Site.  Of course, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so you provide your Personal Information at your own risk.
